Since the first production in 1968 the show, based on the biblical tale of Jacob's son Joseph and his 11 brothers, has proven to be one of the most enduring and endearing shows of all time.

Over the years the musical was expanded and the record-breaking production which opened at the London Palladium on 12 June 1991 starring Jason Donovan ran for two hours was seen by over 2 million people during its 2 and a half year run and grossed over 47 million.

It is this performing version which has been seen touring the UK, the USA , Canada and Australia and Essen , Germany.

In 1999 the production was filmed with an all star cast including Donny Osmond, Joan Collins, Richard Attenborough and Maria Friedman. This film version was used in 2001 when "Singalonga" Joseph began touring the UK.

In addition to the professional international productions of Joseph, the show continues to be an incredibly popular choice for licensed amateur productions worldwide.

Jesus Christ Superstar

Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera in two acts with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice and based on the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth.

The show opened on 12 October 1971 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre, New York and was the first musical by Rice and Lloyd Webber to be produced on the professional stage.

The recording of the score of the show with Ian Gillan ( Jesus), Murray Head ( Judas) and Yvonne Elliman ( Mary Magdalen ) topped the American album charts three times.

The production opened in London on 9 August 1972 with Paul Nicholas ( Jesus), Stephen Tate ( Judas) and Dana Gillespie (Mary Magdalen). By the time it closed, after some eight years and 3,358 performances, it had become the longest running musical in West End history.

Jesus Christ Superstar has been reproduced regularly, around the world, in the 20 years since its first appearance. In Australia there have been a series of vastly successful Harry M Miller staged concerts of the show with local megastar John Farnham in the role of Jesus.

A new production re-opened the refurbished Lyceum Theatre in Autumn 1996 directed by Gale Edwards and designed by John Napier. The production was then re-worked and redesigned and toured the UK during 1998 and 1999. The show played Dublin in August 1999 and in January 2000 opened at the Colesseum Theatre in Essen , Germany for a six month season.

Starlight Express
Starlight Express is light years ahead of the rest - the guaranteed trip of a lifetime - two hours of speed, spectacle, excitement and energy! See it and you still won’t believe it.

In April 1991 Starlight Express became the second longest running musical in London theatre history and there have been several productions world-wide since 1984 in the USA, Japan, Australia and Germany.

With lyrics by Richard Stilgoe and Don Black and choreography by Arlene Phillips, Starlight Express has been seen by almost 20 million people and gross box office world-wide is estimated at over 270 million.

In 1993 the entire creative team re-grouped to revise the show for a new generation. Five new songs were added, numbers were re-choreographed and the show was re-launched at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, London.

Starlight Express continues to race to packed houses in Bochum, Germany, where it plays in an especially adapted theatre, and an award winning new production was created to tour the UK in 2004.

This musical brings to life the dynamic, larger-than-life persona of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator, Juan Peron. Beginning with the young ambitious Eva, the production follows her methodic rise to sainthood in her homeland. The story tells of the enormous wealth and power she gained and the means by which she became the beloved Evita.

The shows memorable "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" was recorded and released in 1976 followed by the complete double album release, which went gold. The stage production opened on June 21, 1978 at the Prince Edward Theatre in London . Elaine Paige successfully secured the title role and Joss Ackland her formidable Juan Peron.

Following stints in Los Angeles and San Francisco , Evita premiered on Broadway at the Broadway Theatre on September 25, 1979 . The production ran for an incredible 1,567 performances (more than twice as many as
Jesus Christ Superstar). Evita won an impressive seven Tony Awards including best book, best score and best musical of the year. In 1981, the Evita cast recording was awarded a Grammy Award.
